Financial Management is the unit responsible for managing the financial aspects of the university. This department works to ensure effective financial planning, financial control, and sound financial execution in all aspects of the university. Some of its main responsibilities and functions are summarized below:

  1. Financial planning: Develops sustainable financial plans for the university based on the strategic goals and general directions of the university. This includes developing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and estimating expected costs and revenues.
  2.  Financial monitoring: Monitors the university’s financial activities and ensures compliance with approved financial policies and procedures. This includes monitoring budgets, expenditures, revenues, and preparing periodic financial reports.
  3. Accounts Management and Financial Reporting: Manages the university’s financial accounts, makes accounting entries, and prepares the required financial reports. These reports include balances, financial statements, and other financial analysis reports.
  4.  Collections Department: The Finance Department manages the collection processes and deals with matters related to tuition, fees, and other payments. It works to provide effective mechanisms to collect funds and implement financial marketing policies.
  5. Planning and Procurement Management: Plans and manages the university’s procurement and contracting processes. This includes receiving and processing purchase orders, conducting tender processes and negotiating with suppliers.
  6. Financial Asset Management: Manages the university’s financial assets such as investments, land, buildings, and equipment. It assesses needs and manages assets efficiently and sustainably.
  7. Financial Guidance and Counseling: Provides financial advice and counseling to the university and other departments within the university. Analyzes financial data and makes financial recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
