Goals of the Academic Development and Quality Center Council

This council seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  1.  Spreading the culture of quality among university affiliates to reach high quality learning and teaching outputs.
  2.   Developing strategic plans for the quality and academic accreditation system at the university and funding and follow-up to ensure its sustainability.
  3.  Building and activating the quality assurance system at the university.
  4.  Building an internal academic accreditation system in accordance with national accreditation standards.
  5.  Qualifying the university and its colleges and centers to obtain academic accreditation locally and internationally.
  6.  Developing the capabilities of university staff in various academic, administrative and technical fields.
  7.  Building an integrated information system for quality at the university.
  8. Measurement, evaluation and curriculum development at the university.
  9. Allocating financial resources for quality, development and academic accreditation.

Tasks and powers

One of the tasks of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center at the university:

  1. Spreading the culture of quality and academic and administrative development in all university facilities and departments.
  2. Applying academic and administrative quality standards in the university based on national accreditation standards.
  3. Supervising the university’s quality assurance units that are technically affiliated with the center.
  4.  Preparing the university’s internal quality manual.
  5. Supervision, follow-up, review and performance evaluation of quality assurance in the faculties, centers and departments of the university in light of the standards of the Council for Academic Accreditation and National Quality Assurance.
  6. Participating in the meetings of the university councils.
  7. Coordinate with the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education to help gain the necessary expertise and raise the capabilities of faculty members and university leaders by training and qualifying them to apply quality standards and academic development in all facilities, departments and colleges of the university.
  8. Coordinate with the Council for Academic Accreditation and Higher Education Quality Assurance to provide technical support for the accreditation of academic programs at the university.
  9. Representing the university in everything related to quality and academic development locally and internationally.
