Required Documents – Modern Specialized University

Required documents are the official documents that applicants must submit when applying for admission and enrollment at the university or any educational institution. The purpose of these documents is to verify the eligibility of applicants and ensure that they meet the academic and administrative conditions required by the university for admission to its academic programs.

Importance of Required Documents

  1. Verify the applicant’s eligibility: Verify that the applicant has completed the required educational stages, such as obtaining a high school diploma.
  2.  Identity verification: A copy of the applicant’s ID card or passport is usually required to verify the applicant’s identity and personal information.
  3.  Data verification: Documents provide evidence that the information provided by the applicant in the application is correct.
  4. Organizing administrative matters: The required documents help organize the admissions process and provide the documents needed to complete the student’s file.

To enroll in  Modern Specialized University, please provide the following documents:

  1. Application form: Fill out the form available at the Admission and Registration Department at the university.
  2. Original high school diploma: Submit the original high school diploma or its equivalent, with two photocopies.
  3.  ID card: A copy of the personal or family ID card for Yemeni students.
  4.  Personal photos: Ten recent 4×6 photos with a white background.
  5.  Equivalency certificates (for those who obtained degrees from outside Yemen):
    • Baptize the original certificate and a copy of the original from the following:
      • The Ministry of Education in the issuing country.
      • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country.
      • The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the issuing country.
      • The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    • Diploma equivalency from the Yemeni Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
    • If the certificate is issued from a non-Arab country, it must be translated and the translated version must be certified by the above-mentioned authorities.
  6. Passport (for non-Yemenis): Photocopies of the first eight pages of the passport, which must be valid for more than one year and have at least one year’s residence in Yemen written on it.
  • It is advisable to contact the Admission and Registration Department at the university to ensure that all the necessary requirements and procedures are me.t
  • the student’s file is kept in the university’s registration archive containing all admission documents and all documents related to the student and his/her academic and financial conditions during his/her studies at the university.

Documents required for students transferring from other universities: –

Students transferring from other universities to the specialized university are required, in addition to what was mentioned above, to bring the transfer form approved by the university from which the transfer was made and by the ministry, and to attach a transcript of the subjects studied by the student in that university approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with two true copies of the transcript, in addition to a copy approved by the university of the scientific content of the study subjects on the transcript, and the clearing is made for the student transferred from another university, provided that he studies at least 50% of the total courses at the university and indicates the level at which the student will live in the university in the clearing.
