College Council: It is the body that supervises its administrative, scientific, academic and research affairs and is responsible for taking all means to ensure that the college fulfills its mission.

Colleges Council and its functions

 Performs the following tasks and functions

  1. Recommending the approval of the college’s strategic plan in line with the university’s strategic plan and developing the college’s annual plan accordingly.
  2.  Supervising the organization of the educational process in the college and coordinating between the different departments in the college.
  3. Recommending to the University Council in all matters related to faculty members in the college and other teaching staff, including appointment, promotion, dispatch, granting study leaves, accepting resignation, and other tasks assigned to him according to the regulations and instructions.
  4. Approving the recommendation of the departmental councils regarding the supervisors of scientific theses and the names of the discussion and judgment committees.
  5.  Supervising the organization, encouragement and funding of scientific research in the college in coordination with the Deanship of Scientific Research.
  6. Organizing and supervising the examination procedures in the college and approving the annual results of the examination.
  7. Preparing the draft annual budget for the college.
  8. Forming permanent or temporary committees from among its members or others.
  9. Propose any additional or amended conditions regarding the admission of students in the departments.
  10. Recommending the approval of the study plans proposed by the academic departments, and approving the curricula, textbooks, and references in the college departments.
  11. Establishing the rules of admission and transfer from and to the college.
  12. Approving the necessary training and scholarship plans for the college.
  13. Deciding on student matters that fall within its jurisdiction and reporting to the University Council otherwise.
  14. Approving the college’s community service plan.
  15. Exercise the powers and tasks related to postgraduate studies and scientific research within the framework of the college.
