Bachelor of Nursing Department is a key pillar of College of Medical Sciences, preparing nurses with the competence and knowledge to deliver outstanding healthcare services. The program focuses on providing students with the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide comprehensive patient care in various health settings.
- The nursing program offers comprehensive training that covers various aspects of healthcare, from basic nursing to specialized specialties. The program aims to enhance students’ skills in providing evidence-based nursing care, with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
In general, the study phase of the nursing major includes the following:
Basic sciences: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
Nursing sciences: Includes nursing fundamentals, nursing care of patients, medication management, and ethics.
Allied Medical Sciences: Pharmacology, Pathology, and Health Psychology.
Advanced study: Pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, surgical nursing, emergency nursing, and psychiatric nursing.
Clinical training: Applying skills in real environments such as hospitals and clinics under the supervision of nurses and specialists.
The Bachelor of Nursing adopts advanced educational curricula in line with international standards, and provides field training opportunities in hospitals and health centers to enhance students’ clinical experiences, enabling them to provide high-quality and efficient health care, and the ability to meet the needs of patients and society.

Upon successful completion of the undergraduate nursing program, graduates will be able to:
A1. Learn the basics of scientific knowledge and principles of physiology, pathology, pathophysiology, therapeutics, health care, behavioral sciences and other basic sciences related to the nursing profession.
A2. Understand the pathologic and morbid changes in common diseases, their etiology and complications to determine appropriate patient care.
A3. Explain the scientific background of the nursing process for all nursing interventions in different age groups.
A4. Recognize local and global guidelines and ethics, disease management and prevention, and other risk factors that affect community health.
