Holding the Ninth University Council

Saturday 10 May 2025, corresponding to Dhu-Al-Qa’dah 12 1446,

Under the presidency of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Al-Jabr, 2025-2024, the Ninth University Council was held.

The ninth university council was held for the academic year in the presence of all members of the council, including deans of colleges and officials of administrative units.

This meeting came as part of a series of periodic meetings aimed at following up the comprehensive development process witnessed by the university, with a focus on enhancing the quality of academic outputs and raising the efficiency of student and administrative services.

The agenda: Various priorities and strategic decisions
The meeting discussed vital items on a pre-prepared agenda, reviewing reports submitted by various entities and taking appropriate decisions on them.

In this regard, the first item was a major focus, where academic affairs reports were discussed and approved, which included a detailed assessment of the performance of the colleges, in addition to following up on local and international academic accreditation projects.

The second item centered on student affairs reports, where the board reviewed mechanisms to improve the services provided to students, such as developing the infrastructure of sports and cultural facilities.

The council also discussed new proposals to increase opportunities for student participation in extracurricular activities and enhance psychological and academic support programs, in addition to discussing new proposals to increase student participation in extracurricular activities.

As part of the university’s quality assurance efforts, the council discussed the reports of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center, which focused on the results of internal audits. In addition to a comprehensive development plan to keep pace with the standards of international rankings.

Honoring Efforts and Promoting Teamwork

After the conclusion of the discussions, the university president addressed a speech of thanks and appreciation to the council members, highlighting their active role in making strategic decisions.
He also expressed his gratitude to the heads of academic departments and administrative units, praising their outstanding efforts in achieving the university’s common vision, which aims to consolidate its position as a leading institution in the field of higher education.

He emphasized that the coordination between the different entities was a decisive factor in achieving the successes recorded during the past period.

It is noteworthy that these meetings are considered a main pillar in the university’s march, as they embody a participatory approach that enhances transparency and contributes to making balanced decisions that meet the aspirations of all components of the university community.

It is expected that the decisions made by the council will be translated into concrete action plans in the coming months to enhance the university’s march of excellence.
