Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Hassan Al-Saadi, Minister of Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of Deputy Minister Dr. Hatem Al-Da’is, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center Dr. Fouad Abdulrazzaq, Secretary General of the University Mr. Safwan Al-Jabr, and Director General of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research – Higher Education Sector, Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak, and Director of Student Relations and Activities, Mr. Adel Kleib, the Modern Specialized University participated in the Fourth Holy Quran Competition hosted by 21 September University, during the period from 12 to 16 Ramadan, amid a remarkable official and academic presence.

The event witnessed a competitive spiritual atmosphere that reflected the level of interest that higher education institutions attach to Quranic activities, as an authentic source of building awareness, establishing values, and strengthening the identity of faith among students.

The category of memorizing ten parts,
The category of memorizing five parts,
The category of memorizing twenty parts,
The category of memorizing the entire Quran.

This diversity in participation reflected the university’s keenness to enable its students to compete at various levels and to support and nurture Quranic talents as part of its plan for meaningful student activities.

Deputy Minister’s Speech at the Fourth Holy Quran Competition

In his speech, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Hatem Al-Da’is emphasized that Holy Quran competitions represent an integrated educational space that contributes to refining students’ academic and behavioral personalities, noting that the ministry is keen to support these qualitative events as part of its plans to promote meaningful activities in universities.
He explained that caring for the Holy Quran is not a seasonal activity, but rather a sustainable approach that contributes to preparing a balanced generation that combines academic excellence and commitment to values, praising the efforts of the participating universities and commending the level of organization and hospitality.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Maasaar, President of 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, welcomed the guests and participating delegations, emphasizing that hosting the competition during the holy month of Ramadan is part of the university’s social and educational responsibility.

He pointed out that the university pays special attention to Quranic and cultural activities, considering them part of the system of building well-rounded university students, and praised the attendance of ministry leaders and their active participation, which reflects the educational leadership’s interest in such blessed events.

In turn, Professor Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak explained that the organization of the Holy Quran competition during the period from 12 to 16 Ramadan comes within the Higher Education Sector’s plan for student activities for the current year, which focuses on developing students’ skills in various scientific, cultural, and religious fields.
He added that the large turnout from universities and the participation of the Modern Specialized University in all categories of the competition reflect a growing awareness of the importance of quality activities in refining talents and discovering Quranic energies, praising the role of University 21 S.
