Information Technology is one of the programs of the College of Engineering and Smart Computing at the Modern Specialized University. It is an excellent field concerned with the study, development and implementation of computer-based technical information systems. In practice, Information Technology looks at how technology is applied to solve business and organizational issues in all fields, on a large scale. It focuses on the application of technology to manage data, networks, systems, and develop software solutions to support organizations and individuals. It is a broad field that combines the technical and managerial aspects of computing. IT workers aim to help others solve and understand technical issues so that they can do their jobs better. This program offers a bachelor’s degree in information technology, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to take on professional careers in information technology fields.
- Computing fundamentals courses include: Operating systems (Windows, Linux), computer architecture, and database management (SQL, Oracle).
- Networking and security courses include: Network Design (CCNA Fundamentals), Information Security, and Ethical Hacking.
- Software development courses include: Programming languages such as Java, C#, and JavaScript, and web application development (HTML, CSS, React).
