The Modern Specialized University wins first place among private universities at the first scientific innovation forum

In a remarkable scientific achievement that reflects its distinguished academic presence and remarkable progress in the field of research and innovation, the Modern Specialized University won first place in the first forum for scientific innovations among private universities, and second place among public and private universities.

This was under the generous patronage of Professor Hassan Al-Saadi, Minister of Education and Scientific Research, and with the broad participation of universities and academic institutions.

The closing ceremony of the forum was attended by high-level official and academic figures, including Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Prof. Hatem Al-Da’is, University President Prof. Mujahid Al-Jaber, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Nafis University, Prof. Dr. Khalid Al-Daraei, along with the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Innovation, Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Houri, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Sana’a University and Chairman of the Forum’s Evaluation Committee, Prof. Dr. Adel Raou, and the Director General of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research – Higher Education Sector – Professor Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak, as well as a select group of academics, researchers, and those interested in the field of scientific innovation.

At the beginning of the program, Professor Khalid Al-Dhurai delivered a welcome speech in which he expressed his great pleasure at hosting this unique scientific forum, welcoming all guests and participants, and emphasizing that hosting such events reflects the universities’ belief in their scientific and societal role in supporting creativity and innovation, the need to link scientific research outputs to development issues and community needs, and highlighting students’ abilities and scientific creativity.

For his part, Professor Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak delivered a speech in which he emphasized the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research’s keenness to support scientific and innovative student activities, praising the advanced level of the projects participating in the forum, and the scientific awareness and ability of students to present innovative and applicable solutions that contribute to serving the community and enhancing the role of private universities in the educational and development process.

In turn, the Vice President of the Supreme Commission for Innovation, Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Houri, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of innovation as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development, noting that the Supreme Commission for Innovation pays special attention to supporting creative university students and transforming innovative ideas into applicable projects that serve the national economy and society. He also praised the scientific level of the participating projects, commending the efforts of universities in nurturing young talent and calling for the strengthening of partnerships between universities and innovation stakeholders.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Hatem Al-Da’is, also gave a speech in which he expressed his pride in the excellence of the projects presented, emphasizing that the forum represents an important scientific platform for discovering and motivating young talent, and contributes to promoting a culture of innovation and applied scientific research, linking it to the labor market and development requirements. He also praised the efforts of the participating universities and organizing committees in making this scientific event a success.

At the end of the program, the head of the evaluation committee, Prof. Adel Raou, announced the results of the forum, explaining that the evaluation process was based on precise scientific criteria that included originality, applicability, social impact, and presentation quality. He praised the overall level of the participating projects and announced that the Modern Specialized University won first place among private universities and second place among public and private universities, in a scientific achievement that reflects the continuous efforts to support innovation and scientific research.

This victory is a culmination of the efforts of the university and its students, confirming its academic leadership and continuous keenness to empower innovators and create an educational environment that stimulates creativity and excellence, contributing to the preparation of a conscious, innovative generation capable of actively contributing to the national development process.
