Engineering and Technology Projects Showcase the Potential of a New Generation
During the exhibition tour, visitors explored a wide range of projects reflecting the academic and practical diversity of the College of Engineering and Smart Computing.
The exhibition brought together projects in interior design, graphic design, sustainable engineering, environmental innovation, visual arts, and creative writing.
The diversity of projects demonstrated the university’s approach to developing students as well-rounded professionals who combine scientific knowledge, technical skills, creativity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving abilities.
Interior Design and Graphic Design: Engineering Through the Language of Creativity
The Interior Design and Graphic Design Section was one of the exhibition’s prominent areas.
Students presented a variety of designs that combined functionality, aesthetics, technology, and contemporary design principles.
The projects demonstrated how interior design, engineering concepts, digital technology, and creative thinking can be integrated to create modern environments and visual solutions that respond to human needs and contemporary requirements.
Sustainable Projects: Innovation for a More Sustainable Future
The Sustainable Projects Section highlighted the students’ interest in environmental challenges and sustainable development.
The projects presented innovative ideas aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and exploring how technology can contribute to the efficient use of resources and the development of environmentally responsible solutions.
These projects reflect the growing importance of connecting engineering education with environmental sustainability, green innovation, resource efficiency, and environmentally friendly technology.
They also demonstrate the potential of young engineers to contribute to building a more sustainable future through creativity and technological innovation.
Visual Arts and Short Stories: Where Engineering Meets Creativity
The exhibition went beyond engineering and technology projects to include a dedicated section for visual arts and short stories.
This section emphasized that creativity extends beyond academic disciplines and that university students can combine technical knowledge with artistic and literary expression.
Through paintings, artistic works, and short stories, students expressed their ideas, perspectives, emotions, and visions concerning society and contemporary life.
The section offered a different perspective on the university student—not only as a future engineer or technology specialist, but also as a creative individual capable of expressing ideas through art and literature.
Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak Praises the Students’ Projects
For his part, Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak, Director General of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research – Higher Education Sector, expressed his appreciation for the quality and diversity of the projects presented at the exhibition.
