From Idea to Vision: Interior Design students shape the future in the Architectural Visualization course.

As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its students’ practical skills and keep pace with the demands of the job market, the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Al-Jabr, today launched the specialized training course on “Architectural Visualization,” organized by the Department of Interior Design at the College of Engineering and Smart Computing.
During the launch, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Al-Jabr emphasized the importance of these specialized courses in honing students’ artistic talent and bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice.
He praised the vital role played by the College of Engineering and Smart Computing in organizing workshops that enhance the quality of educational outcomes, especially in a precise and aesthetic field such as interior design.
The launch was also attended by the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Hamid Taher. The first day of the course saw significant engagement from participating students, with the initial sessions focusing on establishing the fundamental pillars of architectural visualization, including:
• Conceptual Introduction: An introduction to the fundamentals of architectural visualization and its essential role in bringing design ideas to life and convincing the client.
• Tools and Techniques: A comprehensive overview of the latest materials and tools used in manual and technical artistic production.
• Practical Application: Students took their first steps in architectural rendering and constructing visual compositions, demonstrating tangible enthusiasm for transforming flat lines into vibrant architectural renderings.
This workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the Interior Design Department, aimed at equipping students with creative tools to ensure they excel in presenting their architectural projects with a professional visual approach that combines technical precision and architectural standards.
