About the Presentations:
The Interior Design Department hosted a special exhibition of projects by students in the Computer-Aided Design (3D) course, where students presented comprehensive works that demonstrated a high level of professionalism in utilizing digital tools to produce interior designs meeting advanced professional standards.
The students began their work by preparing a mood board for each project, which included the design concept, color palettes, materials, and aesthetic elements specific to various interior spaces, including bedrooms and living rooms, thereby helping to establish the visual identity of each design prior to the digital implementation phase.
On the technical side, engineering drawings were prepared using AutoCAD, followed by the 3D rendering, modeling, and interior design phases using 3D Max, with a focus on lighting details, materials, and accessories to achieve high visual realism. The students also used graphic design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create mood boards and professionally organize the visual presentation of the projects.
To enhance the quality of the outputs, the students utilized artificial intelligence techniques to improve rendering quality and increase its accuracy, in addition to producing animated videos that simulate walking through the designed spaces, adding an interactive dimension that reflects the students’ development of digital skills and their ability to keep pace with modern technologies in the field of design.
Attendance at the Presentations:
The presentations took place under the supervision of Engineer Hadeel Al-Sari, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Mujahid Al-Jabr, Department Chair Dr. Yahya Al-Bashari, and University Secretary General Mr. Safwan Al-Jabr, who praised the level of creativity and technical proficiency, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology and artificial intelligence into the educational process to prepare graduates capable of competing in the job market.
